The problem
Many OpenCart stores lose a large percentage of high-intent users between cart and payment. The team needed a practical extension that could identify abandoned sessions and trigger reminder communication without creating extra admin overhead.
What we built
- Configurable abandonment timing (for example, 30 minutes, 2 hours, 24 hours)
- Automated reminder flow with staged follow-ups
- Recovery tracking per campaign and per abandoned cart
- Admin controls for message templates and send windows
- Safe exclusions for already converted or canceled carts
Implementation notes
We designed the extension to work with common OpenCart store setups and kept configuration simple for non-technical admin users. The extension logs each reminder event and recovery outcome so teams can evaluate what works and adjust timing or messaging.
Business impact
